Denim is a kind of thick yarn dyed warp twill cotton cloth. The warp yarn is dark, usually Indigo, and the weft yarn is light, usually light gray or boiled white yarn. Also known as indigo labor cloth.
Denim originated in the western United States. It is named after herders who use it to make clothes. The warp yarn adopts a one-step dyeing process combined with pulp dyeing, with counts of 80tex (7 inch count), 58tex (10 inch count), 36tex (16 inch count), etc., and weft yarns of 96tex (6 inch count), 58tex (10 inch count), 48tex (12 inch count), etc., using a 3/1 weave. There are also denim fabrics with variable twill, plain or crepe weave. The grey fabric undergoes pre-shrinkage treatment, with a smaller shrinkage rate than ordinary fabrics, a compact texture, thick texture, bright color, and clear weave. Applicable to men's and women's jeans, jeans tops, jeans vests, Denim skirt, etc.
