It is a double-layer knitted fabric obtained by placing the cylinder needle and the cover needle perpendicularly to each other on a double-plate circular knitting machine. Even if we stretch the crochet fabric crosswise, only the right loop is visible on both sides.
Double-sided fabrics include:
- Smooth front and back
-Dense structure
- The vertical direction is more elastic than the horizontal direction.
- High dimensional stability and shape protection functions.
- Knitted fabrics with the highest grammage can be obtained compared to other single yarn knitted fabrics.
- Loops tend to detach from one end when placed under tension.
- Better thermal insulation properties when there is air between the front and back. It is warmer than other single yarn knit fabrics. -Double-sided rib knit fabric has good moisture absorption properties due to its fluffy structure.
Underwear has a wide range of uses in summer and winter, especially sports and medical tops. It can also be used as a technical protective textile.
To determine if a fabric has interlock or ribbing, stretch the fabric crosswise, if the opposite loops are facing each other, this is an interlock
