In general, a number of yarns are used for the formation of fabrics and also a number of techniques are used for producing fabrics such as weaving, knitting, and felting. The type of fabrics is different because of the fabric formation techniques, machinery used for producing them, and finishing techniques.
Each fabric has a unique name for it to be identified among others based on their textures, designs, weaving patterns, aesthetic values, fiber source, the place where the fabrics are originated, etc. we are here to show some of the fabrics, their uses and formation, etc. Below is the knowledge of them.
34. Interlock Stitch Knit Fabric

Knitted Fabric
The interlock stitch knits are variations of rib stitch knits. The front and the back are the same. These fabrics are usually heavier and thicker than regular rib knit fabrics unless used with finer yarns. The interlocking prevents runs and produces apparel fabrics which are not ravel or curl at the edges.
35. Kashmir Silk Fabric

Woven Fabric
The Kashmir silk is produced in plain weave and is either embroidered or printed. It is used for women’s wear, shirts and sarees. Kashmir shawls are woven in twill weave and are usually embroidered with traditional Kashmiri embroidery.

Khadi refers to all kinds of hand-spun and hand-woven fabrics. They are mainly made of a cotton fiber, blends of two or more fibers. They are known for durability and simplicity. The fabric can be suits, work clothes and home textiles.
37. Leno Fabric

Woven Fabric
Leno fabric is a fabric that produces an opening effect by crossing certain threads or strands. Two threads or both ends are used as one thread; when the weft thread passes between them, the end of the weft thread twists and grabs the weft thread and fixes it firmly in place. By combining cross knitting with other knitting structures, very fancy and beautiful clothes can be produced.

The Madras Fabrics are lightweight cotton fabrics used primarily for summer clothing such as shorts, dresses, pants. It has high quality, light-weight 100% cotton plaid designs which are available in many colors and plaid patterns.
39. Madras Muslin Net Fabric

Madras Muslin nets are mainly used for decoration, such as curtains. The cloth is an open gauze ground cloth where an extra weft is inserted to produce a motif, this is then woven into the ground cloth. Where there is a surplus floating weft yarn this is then cut away after weaving revealing the motif, the edge of the sheared motif shows shorn ends of a weft yarn.
40. Organdy Fabric

The Organdy fabric is the sheerest and stiff cotton fabric made with fine spun combed yarns. The fabric is characterized by stiffness and crispness. The fabric is crisped, made transparent by applying a special process known as Parchmentzing. Most of the hard varieties are used for home fabrics, such as curtains, while the softer Organdy varieties are used for summer clothing, such as shirts, sarees, etc.

Organza basically refers to a thin plain weave fabric, which is a transparent fabric made of continuous silk yarns filaments. Today, many organza fabrics are woven with synthetic filament fibers such as nylon and polyester, but most fashionable organza yarns are woven with silk.
