Microbead Travel Pillow

This is the softest. The microbeads move easily, and the pillow will definitely soften (and possibly sag) over time. This pillow is great for little ones and kids because it's molded to fit and is super comfortable. This is the cheapest travel pillow on the market, so it's perfect for a one-off or first-time trip.

Inflatable Travel Pillow

These are a very cheap and pleasant solution, but not my favorite, mainly because the seams can run around the middle and pierce your neck! It works like a microbead pillow in that you can blow it as hard or soft as you like. Great for small kids and babies, for example, if you just want a little neck support in a car seat. The one in my shop (link in the title) has a plush cotton hood so no plastic or seams will bother you.

This is a sturdy pillow and a great option if you don't like the soft kind. I personally find this a little hard, but it's great for sleeping, especially if you have a window seat and can build a den. If the back is too hard, remember to give it a full turn.
